Llangollen boasts as one of the top hot spots in North wales for tourists from all over the world. Whether your intentions are from a day out to a summer holiday, Llangollen will keep you interested throughout your stay. There plenty of  hotels, self catering apartments, cottages, caravan pitches and camping pitches that cater for various budgets. Llangollen is only an hours drive from Liverpool and Manchester. Birmingham is only an hour and a half drive.

Take a walk along the promanade with beautiful views of the River Dee that lead you to the childrens park, crazy golf course, picnic area and rocks.  On the opposite side of the river is Llangollen Train Station where the train will take you to Carrog and back. Then there's Llangollen wharf  and the horsedrawn boats that take you on a relaxing journey along the beautiful scenery of the canal.

If its something more daring you are looking for try canoeing, abseiling, mountian biking, quad biking to name a few exciting days out. If you still have the energy, a walk up to Dinas Bran Castle will burn of those extra calories and reward you with spectacular views of the Welsh mountains.
